Design process

• Free consultation call

The design process begins when you make an initial enquiry on my website.
This is usually through the contact form. I will call you back within 24 hours to agree a time for our free consultation call. We will discuss your project and make sure we are a good fit.

• One to one time slot

Once we decide we are a good fit, I will assign a one-to-one time slot to work exclusively only on your project and will be available for discussions. I recommend my clients book at least 4-6 weeks in advance. This gives you plenty of time to gather content and prepare for the project. You will need to have the website copy and images ready for me to begin work. Images must be of a good quality to be considered. Should you require a product photo-session, I can help with that too.
Design stage will begin when all planning is done and content is ready.

• Planning questionnaire

I will ask you to fill in a Project Questionnaire to determine the target audience, scope, features, and goals of your future website and a Website Content Guide to assist you with creating the copy for your website. We will discuss your ideas and vision and what’s involved. At this point I will also send you an invoice for the first 50% payment for me to begin work on your project.

• Quality UX and UI design

This is the website design and development stage. By this time you will have provided me with your completed questionnaire, textual content, images, product/services descriptions, any other information you would like communicated to your website visitors and I will begin to design and build your website. I create every website from scratch and do not rely on pre-made templates unless specifically requested by the client. I will work on the design and layout of all your website pages, will customise all your images to fit your brand and select high quality ones where applicable.

• User interface design (UI) - I ensure that all visual elements customers interact with when using your website e.g. typography, imagery, buttons etc. are on brand and relatable to your audience.

• User experience design (UX) - I consider the overall experience your customers have when using your website, including how the interaction makes them feel. I ensure the brand experience is in tune with your brand personality and lead the visitor on their journey to conversion.

This stage includes 2 revisions of the website in progress where you review the ongoing work and send me your revisions.

• Search engine optimisation (SEO)

As part of the website building process, I do on-page optimisation to enhance your website's visibility for your targeted search keywords. During this stage, I analyse and refine various SEO elements to ensure maximum impact. Furthermore, I provide valuable assistance in establishing your business profile on Google. By leveraging this platform, we can create online presence for your business, allowing potential customers to discover and engage with your offerings more effectively.

• Full website testing and domain connection

I will test your newly created website and make sure it is working as expected. At this stage I will send you an invoice for the last 50% of the payment. After that I will connect your domain name (where applicable) and when the final tests are run and pass, I will give you ownership of your new web site as it is now ready to go live to the public!

• Handover training and/or maintenance

If you wish to learn how to make simple and easy updates to your website, I will give you the necessary training so you can use your website independently. Alternatively, you can book my Monthly Support Plan to update and support your website - this option is especially suitable for fast growing websites with frequent regular updates.
